The PITTSBURGH POWER is an "OPEN" martial arts tournament. We also offer WAKO divisions for all athletes. All schools, styles, organizations and clubs are welcome to attend from karate, tae kwon do, tang soo do, kung fu, wushu, kenpo and more. Anyone who places gold 🥇 or sliver 🥈 will also be named

OLYMPIC PATHWAY

WAKO USA is the only U.S. organization in the sport of kickboxing to have IOC & AOC recognition. Our athletes compete at the highest of levels, qualifying in our National Championship Tournaments to earn their spots on the team to compete internationally at the Pan-American Championships, World Games and the World Combat Games. As we continue to grow our sport here in the States, our organization will serve as the gateway to the Olympics.

STEP 1.

Place top two (Gold or Silver) at WAKO Nationals to earn a spot of the US National Team.

STEP 2.

Represent your country at the highest level of sport karate and kickboxing in the world including Olympic level competitions.

STATE GAMES

The Pittsburgh Power & Fitness Festival, taking place on May 16-17, 2026, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a premier event in the bodybuilding and fitness world. Kumite Classic will be hosting the martial arts and sport karate competition.

The convention is organized by Jim Manion of the IFBB Pro League and Tyler Manion of the NPC, the festival will attract over 10,000 attendees, including top athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and industry professionals.
